Looking for electrolysis near me? We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re happy to help! Since 2021, we have offered hair removal in the Pacific Northwest. Are you having to travel from further away? We can also schedule longer appointments – contact us to discuss options!
We are also working with local providers to offer numbing injections for longer sessions. While we seek to keep hair removal as tolerable as possible, feeling no pain or discomfort while removing extensive amounts of hair is something we would like to offer!
What is electrolysis near me?
Electrolysis hair removal is truly permanent hair removal. During electrolysis, we insert a tiny probe into each hair follicle (using magnifying glasses to see really up close), zap it very briefly, and then pull out the destroyed hair. While this may sound tedious, we can remove a surprising amount of hairs in even one session!
Your hair grows in cycles, meaning only about a third of your hair on any area is visible at any point in time. This means that we have to treat each area we work on many times to totally get rid of the hair, but you’ll be that much more hair free every time! You’ll stop seeing visible hair well before we’ve removed every single hair, so you’ll see the results very quickly.
Once you are hair free on a certain area, you are truly hair free!
There are three main ways to perform electrolysis hair removal: thermolysis (heat), galvanic (chemically destroying the hair root), and blend (a mix of thermolysis and galvanic). We use thermolysis, as we don’t want to leave chemicals under the skin. In our experience, thermolysis can remove more hairs in a session and heals very fast too!
